Winnipeg Freeze 2025 Spring Development Camp
The Winnipeg Freeze are excited to announce our 2025 Spring Development Camp, set to take place from April 25-27, 2025, at Seven Oaks in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This camp provides an opportunity for young players to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and gain valuable insights into what it takes to play Junior “A” hockey in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
About the Camp: Open to 2008, 2009, and 2010 Manitoban players. This camp is for players who exemplify the qualities we seek in dedicated, motivated athletes and strong individuals. This camp serves as both a development experience and a chance for our staff to evaluate players on and off the ice.
Camp Objectives:
- Provide a competitive and educational weekend with on- and off-ice development sessions.
- Introduce players to the Winnipeg Freeze program and our development path.
- Allow our Hockey Operations team to assess players’ skill levels, character, coachability, and athleticism.
What to Expect: Each participant will receive approximately five hours of ice time, including:
- Full-ice 5v5 games
- A goalie-specific session
- A practice focused on skill and tactical development
- The opportunity to compete in the Blue vs. White showcase game on Sunday
Coaching & Instruction: Throughout the weekend, players will receive guidance from:
- The Head Coach and General Manager of the Winnipeg Freeze
- The Assistant Coach of the Winnipeg Freeze
- Special guest speakers
Invitation & Registration: All registrations will go through a review process to ensure a competitive event and to ensure quality individual coaching and evaluation.
