Winnipeg Freeze Announce Harry Mahesh as Head Coach and General Manager

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Freeze Hockey Club announced today that Harry Mahesh has been named Head Coach and General Manager.

Mahesh joins the Freeze after spending one season as an assistant coach with the Winkler Flyers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.  Prior to last season, Mahesh spent two seasons leading the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy U18 Female Prep team of the CSSHL.  Harry has also spent time in the past serving as Head Coach of the Minor Midget AAA Canucks in Calgary as well as an Assistant coach with Banff Academy in the CSSHL.

 “Harry is a great communicator and has demonstrated the ability to lead a program as well as build and maintain relationships with players.” said Jake Heisinger, Freeze Governor.  “We look forward to Harry helping our players with their development on and off the ice.”

Prior to coaching, Harry Mahesh spent 7 seasons playing professional hockey in Sweden and the United States.
