The Winnipeg Freeze of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League are pleased to introduce Taurean White as Head Coach and General Manager.
White, 36, brings a decade of coaching experience to the Freeze.
He returns to the MJHL after spending the 2017-2018 season as Head Coach and General Manager of the Swan Valley Stampeders where five players from that team graduated into NCAA / CIS schools.
Most recently the Nepean, Ontario product was the Head Coach / Assistant General Manager of the CCHL’s Nepean Raiders where he was named an assistant coach for the CCHL All Star Game.
White’s experience also includes an Associate Coach’s role with the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors as well as Head Coaching duties with the Kingston Voyageurs of the OJHL.
As a player, White played junior with the Binghamton Junior Senators, Ottawa Junior Senators, Oswego Admirals and Seguin Bruins. He moved on for two seasons with Northland College and Adrian College and concluded his playing time with the University of Ottawa.
The Winnipeg Freeze sit at 5-16-2 through 23 games this season and take on the Swan Valley Stampeders on December 4th and 5th at Jonathan Toews Sportsplex.
